Part of the fun of detecting is collecting coins from all over the world. Amazing where they travel too, but I am not surprised some Americans made it to Brazil. I've heard it is a very beautiful place.

That beach area is huge and you must get visitors originally from the US. In fact, lets encourage US tourists to leave their pennies at distant beaches so the locals enjoy finding them instead of us! I wonder if people do this on purpose as I have found Brazilian coins at Aliso and early 19th century Indian coins at Corona del Mar.

Congrats on your rare find!

I love finding coins from other countries. Last year on a visit to the Florida panhandle, I found 11 Bahamas pennies on a very isolated beach. Figured someone vacationed there and just tossed them on the beach when he got home. My weirdest one is a Cuban coin on a local soccer field.
