I've had great luck with the 1280 but only in freshwater. It has good disc an is quite deep for a single frequency unit.

a waterproof 1225......had one ......had to reduced the sensitivity crank up discri i had problem too with the lower shaft was too flexible :) mine came with the hardcase .........back in 2000 if i remember well...........

I had one and never had any issues with it.

Only reason I still don't have it is that I upgraded to a CZ20 and at that time I couldn't afford keeping two water machines.
