Or rather, it found me. Never felt pain like that before and I've had some pains in my life. Hit the bone and thrashed until it broke loose. Went through my boot too. 20160413_092101.jpg

Which reminds me; did you hear that they had to recall all of the Crocodile Hunter brand sun block? It failed to protect against harmful rays.

Definitely get it checked, ugly staph infections been known to come from getting spiked.

Just shows how lucky some of use were in our younger days. As a kid, I used to fish and play around dock and pier pilings. Never got spiked by a whiptail. Lots of jellyfish stings, but managed to avoid the whiptails.

I told a story here about a Southern Ray hit I got once...

Generally... People have no idea of the gravity of a ray strike... till it happens.

That is a hell of a hit you took... You got struck good...
I feel for you... For I have been there.

Thanks for sharing this. I know another piece of equipment I now will have to buy. Some of these rays are almost invisible because of their natural camouflage.
