Last weekend a local tourist trap had a Pirate Festival. There is a small beach that is just across the road from the site that I work occasionally.

This morning I decided to go over and spend a couple of hours. This was the take:

8 Quarters
4 Nickels
10 Dimes
25 Pennies
1 Sterling Skull Pendant w/crossed Cutlasses (stamped sterling) 2.4 grams
1 Cell Phone
18 Bottlecaps
9 Pop Tabs

I figure the Skull Pendant may have been purchased at the Festival then lost at the beach. How do I deduce this you might ask. Well, it was still in a small clear bag that had a $20.00 price marked on it. Bag and Pendant are in perfect condition.

To all of the purists that like to see the bottle caps and pull tabs, what can I say. I always hit the closest trash can on my way back to the truck.

Good job on the hunt Deepsix!
I really enjoy finding these pirate implements. We are sort of modern day pirates of sorts I think, pillaging the sites for treasure. Congrats and best of luck to you.

BTW, I also found a skull and crossbones today, but not as nice as yours. :D

Smiles!
