I didn't think it could get any better than the 920ix I got from Chuck before last season, but this latest "hybrid" design works fantastic. He told me about the slots idea last year, kinda suspected I'd end up with one.

It allows me to verify the tiny targets that normally just fell through the big holes if I choose too. No more wondering if they were gold earrings or backers, etc, or just fishing weights/etc.

With the slotted area of the scoop basket, you can just sift fast and not worry about the tiny stuff, still clears super fast, or utilize the slots to check for the tiny items by working the material through the slotted area.

The addition of the small foot pad is nice too, wasn't sure if I'd like it, and it was a great addition. Easier to really pounce on the scoop when needing to pound down into harder bottom material.

Good sounding tiny targets, easily confirmed..

I agree. I have the same scoop and for me, it has been the very best I've ever used.

What I like about chuck is he is a hunter himself and listens to what people want and need. And he adjusts to what works best. I guess you would call it Evolution.......................... Very Nice scoop.

I have the same scoop. Went from a Trex POS with a wooden handle thinking it was the bee's knee's to the 920ix and the stealth CF handle. About 1.25 lbs lighter and WAY more comfortable. I had to get used to the angle of it compared to my last scoop but I now love it to death. Now my other side hurts from the difference in center of gravity. Seems the CTX is heavier than my scoop....

One other comment, one of the best things I like about this scoop is the size. I have recovered large fish fillet knives, large phones and other large items in the water that I would have never recovered with my smaller round scoop. I wish I had read all the forum comments on scoops before I made my first purchase.

You can get them for around $250 without all of the bells and whistles. I have the 920 and its awesome. I have the wooden handle.

I was going to get two 720i's for me and the wife. Decided to get one, with all the bells, including the CF handle. She's going to give it a try tomorrow. If she does like it, I may switch mine to the 920i. Once in a blue moon I give the dry sand a go. I'm thinking that the 920i may be too big for the dry.

stronger re-inforcement, different size holes for smaller objects, how it pinches your handle, and foot pad...
