I usually don't post until I find the beautiful yellow, but I thought this particular hunt was an exception. I hunted this old swimming hole for a few hours a couple weeks ago and found 2 golds. Came back to grid it and found this....
When the Excal II glided across this beautiful crucifix, it "cut-out, overloaded, freaked out (feel free to interject the proper terminology)"..like a beer/soda can. The surprise was nice. This piece is just beautiful and I am pretty sure it is quite old. If anyone has an idea on the age of it, I would appreciate you chiming in....
OBN, you asked if I found any silver coins on my last hunt at this spot...well you nailed it! The Rosie was a nice surprise. Funny thing is that I didn't find a single wheatie. And after finding that old gold ring and learning about the history of this spot, I figured I would find more silver coins.
So three silver rings, this awesome cross and another $7 in clad was the take. Oh, by the way about 20 of the quarters were found in an area about 4' in diameter...big coin spill.
Take care all you pirates!
