Hi All,

I just got my CTX 3030.....1 night of dirt fishing and one morning at the beach. Really liking this but my arms are now dead. It's gonna take a while to get used to the screen output numbers....already know what a penny reads now.

I have a 17" coil set up. I was a little Leary of going too deep in the waves.....it was a little difficult with the surf.

Anyways....got the normal assortment of coins, one Wheatie, trash, crap jewelry and a small silver toe ring. Didn't know I found a Superfreak Bottle opener until I got home....I wonder if this belonged to Rick James? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1468093651.380534.jpg

Still looking for my 1st gold piece.

Ran the standard beach settings. If anyone has any suggestions or tips for the beach (I'm in New England) let me know.

I plan to do a lot of beach hunting.....hopefully some more land hunting too.

Happy hunting! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1468093584.437482.jpg

Congratualtions on the CTX purchase, those Minelabs are heavy buggers :BangHead:

You did manage to find a few keepers, keep up the good work!

You may want to pickup a Minelab 45 pro harness I have the CTX and it has taken a load off my arm.

I run no discrimination Auto +2 on the NC beaches. I find my 17" gives false signals in the saltwater. Congratulations and happy hunting!

Thanks for the info! I think I screwed up today....so used to my Whites DFX tones that I think I passed over a lot of low 12s. :(

Live and learn.

Congrats on your CTX! Looks like a active hunt. You will learn the machine soon and then you should be able to snipe.
