Oh yeah lots of targets around the towel line. I could do much better if I went at the right time with more time. I'm on a family vacation so it's kinda tough. But there's gold somewhere out there. Thousands and thousands of people on the beach everyday
Some of the best hunting can be just below the black sand marking.. which if the beach is slanted about 1/2 way up the slope from the bottom...And the best streets are from 12th street down to the inlet.
No jewelry but my production want up thankyou for the tip OBN maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day! Weird want back during low tide didn't find anything
Just spent the weekend there. OBN right on. Mid slope, low tide. Go super slow, high Sens. Dug over two hundred targets. 22nd St down to inlet. 145th to 130th. 66 quarters, dozens of dimes, tens of nicklels, countless pennies. Numerous junk jewelry, one 10k men's that ended up being GF. Most targets were multiple scoops deep and greenies. I know the gold is there. Good luck.
I will be heading down at the end of Sept. and will be staying at 14th St. One of the things that they do is that they rake the beaches at night so who knows how things get tossed around. Does it bring up deep stuff or bury the new stuff? I do know that it crushes up all the shells that my grand kids go looking for. At least this year I will have something to do in the early morning while my wife is hunting shells with them.
