I took a drive south today and did some water hunting. The water was a little calm at low tide but really picked up when the tide changed. I had a few really good hits but kept getting pounded by the waves. I managed to pull one nice ring with initials but no stamp. I'm pretty sure it's 18k. Also, a possible silver earring and a watch that really is encrusted. The other ring was junk. I also found what probably is a life guard whistle and a Suisse 1 franc coin from 1971. All in all it was a pretty good day! Thanks for looking. HH and GL

Great finds! Hope the ring is gold...
You know you had no business finding a Swiss coin, right?

I love finding random foreign coins, makes you wonder the odds...
Reminds me of the time I found a coin from Austria in the woods behind my Father-in-laws house... I was like, huh?

I just did an acid test and it test out at 18K. Could belong to someone from the Middle East. Some of their gold is not stamped.

What a super day, nice batch of finds.

I'm starting to see a very concerning lack of pull tabs in peoples posts... could they finally be going away?

GIB, they stopped ppl from carrying glass bottles on to the beach here(finally), so the bottle caps are down, for sure! Every now and then, I find them really old old pull tabs. Seems we're so sanded in around here, I think the pulltabs have floated on out, with the tides....... at least I hope so! :notworthy:

Yeah, slider, how far south? You may be encroaching my "litter box" area! :laughing7:
Congrats on your finds and pm sometimes, when you know you're heading this way!
