Went to a place I have done well at in the past. When I decided to hunt this particular spot (away from the main swim area) that not many people know of, I was expecting to only find maybe some fishing sinkers and lures.....I did NOT expect this!

First the 1935 D Wheat...I thought ok, have gotten em before, usually not very old but can't help but hope for a silver Rosie. Then it hit....84 on the AT Pro. I thought it would be a silver ring or just maybe a silver Rosie....too high for a clad dime or copper penny and too low for a clad quarter...My first ever 1939 D Mercury dime! Holy smokes! That freaked me out. Next came the other Wheat 1939 S. Then after my heart settled down...my black beauty started chirping a broken signal at 92 to 94. The depth gauge was maxed and I began scooping. After the first scoop the signal got stronger and more consistent at 94. Bah! I thought "soda can" so I lifted the coil a little and the chirp disappeared...ok, keep scooping. After about 3 more scoops and what I would guess at least 12 inches...no more chirp. Looked in the scoop and I almost fell over dead! 1924 S Standing Liberty Quarter!! After flipping out and regaining my composure I was able to unearth ANOTHER 1942 S Mercury dime before darkness fell and I had to go...

Wow, what an experience! I never ever thought I would find such things in my area as we just don't have that kind of history. Well, I was delightfully surprised to say the least.

Also I found an old tax token, some neat old fishing weights, a hammered flat aluminium piece with the #8 punched into each side, an old piece of brass, a small tube type deal and other odds and ends.

If anyone can explain what the last three items pictured are, I would be grateful!

Also as a side note, while I was digging the SLQ, I thought for sure that either the welds or the carbon fiber shaft were going to snap in half on the Stealth 720i....that handle was bowing pretty hard and it handled it! So a big shout out to Sunspot!

Needless to say, I am keeping this location pretty tight lipped and will be going back soon!

Take care everyone!

tube thing is an old military tent pull - to tighten rops holdin it down -if brass usually pre WW II which would fit with coins you found
