I find this coin last year at the beach in South-east Asia, sound was different the usual coins on the beach but i didn't turn to mach attention on it. After few days i check it and i was thinking is silver coin so i try to remove chemically crust. When i find it is just silver plated was to late. This part was never UK colony so must be drop by some sailor or there is some sunken ship near by. I still didn't find which coin it is , i think is some colonial 2 shilling UK coin but if someone can help to date more close i will appreciate it.

You say it was silver plated. Perhaps not. In the USA when we chemically clean, like in acid, a coin with silver/copper content but not pure silver then it comes out looking orange like yours. older silver/copper nickels will do that as will lower grade quarters. It may actually be a mix of silver and copper, but after chemically cleaning, only the copper is showing through. Happy hunting to ya.

It is quite possible u r right since it is only 0.58% silver (possible even lower),i was quite sure it is silver otherwise i will not try chemical cleaning.
