I've used them and like them, but for the $$ they cost I'll stick with home depot rake handles [$8], just or nearly as strong and, wrapped in pipe insulation, makes the scoop + buoyant.

Went through making them with the outside of an adjustable painter's pole.
On my 720i, I went with Chuck's CF handle even though $$ it was worth every penny and I don't use an assist handle.

Only problem I had with mine was the first time I used it, it was humid and my hand kept slipping up the handle:laughing7:. They send you a glove with it but I left it home :dontknow:. If money isn't a issue get one, you'll love it. :icon_thumright:

Carbon Fibre Handle

$160 or so, have no idea if there are better prices as they don't interest me and have never pursued them.
Like I said, this vs an $8 rake handle is a no brainer to me, I see absolutely no advantage to them to even remotely justify their cost. Lifetime guarantee ? I imagine that entails sending the broken one back and wait a couple of weeks, in the meantime you'll use ... An $8 rake handle.
My rake handle has stood up to 3 years of digging and doesn't look ready to snap any time soon. They do look snazzy, far as I can tell thats their only advantage.

Hello Rusty,

What is the date that you received your handle?

Some of the earlier units had a different texture

Chuck

PS this is one of the many things that we have gone through to refine the product. We now have the tubes custom made so there is more resistance when you try to slide your hand up and easy to slide down.
