Virginia Beach Find

A Few yrs ago my family went to Virginia Beach on vacation. I don't like the water but I love to detect.One morning I had found a? H.S. ring & reading W&ET mag I decided to track down the
onwer.The only thing I had to go on was the High School & the name inside.After 2 months of phone calls all over the country I found the school but they would not give me a phone no.to contact.To make a long story short the boy joined the Navy & lost it at the beach before going
overseas. What a thrill to track down something lost plus the reward wasn't bad along with a story in my local newspaper.

Outstanding that you made the effort to find the owner. I think most of us would try and do the same, although it sounds like you really had a time of it getting it done. Hats off to ya.
