Spent an hour in the water with few targets all junk. Was freezing so I went back to the car and kept swinging my coil in the wet sand between the water line and high tide line were you don't find anything except very light targets. I heard a whisper signal and saw the balled up chain in the scoop at about 3 inches deep. Knew it was real right away. The chain is 14k made in Italy registers at 30 on my Deus. The cross registers at 40 no markings I am not sure if it's gold or not it feels light. At home the air test on the sand shark doesn't pick up the chain or the cross but it found them in the wet sand. The spot was below a cut and at a common entrance location. Thanks goes to Terry for telling me to dig the repeatable whisper signals! The crucifix could be gold, my grandson found one this last summer with no markings, ended up testing out at 10k. Good luck!

Congrats! That's a nice find. Did you look on the inside of the ring on the crucifix that the chain goes through? I've seen small stamps on the inside of the ring before.
