Hit the road today looking for some storm cuts. Found a little bit of everything.... two Gold Rings, two crusty Silver dimes a couple of wheat pennies and this big old spoon.
I started cleaning the spoon up and found these hallmarks on it. One mark in the square box shows MET the other is an 84 with some kind of design next to it. Anyone have an idea where it was made?

Got rained on a little and hit by a couple of waves but had a great time.

Good Luck Out There.....................................

Did some research found the spoon to be Russian 1896-1908. First Kokoshnik Mark, Assayer is Ivan Lebedkin, the 84 means .875 silver content, weighs in @ 78.5 g

I don't think I could STOP hunting that cut...I'd have to camp out after complete exhaustion from swinging and digging. Let the car run to recharge the batteries. Don't really have to eat for 6-7 days and just keep hydrated. - That is a BANNER cut! And great finds, too. Boy do I love GOLD.

Where was this? The Wedge had a ten foot or higher cut. Someone got all the rings and left the ton of corroded coins.... Still fun to give it a go.
