As a metal detectorists, are you sick and tired of finding stainless steel wedding bands? Tungsten wedding bands? Titanium wedding bands? Cheap costume jewelry? Plastic and aluminum jewelry? WE can do something about it!
Metal Detectorists across the United States (particularly east and west coasts) unite! As a national marketing effort, we are encouraging everyone; men, women and children to wear gold jewelry at the beach. Further, to promote health, everyone is encouraged, no, let's make that required to swim at least 100 yards...and you have to wear your gold jewelry. As an alternative, if you can't swim 100 yards, you may engage in intense water activity, like throwing a ball in cold water with sunscreen all over your hands while you wear gold rings on each finger, thumbs excluded. You will get extra points and burn more calories if you play in the water while there is wave activity, preferably with a 3 ft or larger surf. Get fit everyone!
This promotion is being promoted by beach and surf metal detectorists to promote the hobby and, for us already addicted, to find more gold. But we really want everyone to enjoy the water, the colder the better, and to wear as much gold jewelry as you (or your parents) can afford. Everyone at the beach will be wearing their gold jewelry, shouldn't you be, too?
Let's assume everyone goes to the beach, and who doesn't? If only 1 in 100 lost some gold, that would mean something like 3,300,000 pieces of lost gold on our beaches and in the surf to be found by metal detectorists, and that's just in the United States! Remember -
