Updated. Went back to the same spot today. Revised total for the 2 day hunt is exactly 100 silver. 7 halves, 25 quarters, 68 dimes, 3 rings, one bracelet, and 2 charms. If you don't see me at the beach it will be because I'm cleaning silver.

Second question is does it matter if I dig them 1 at a time?

Left work an hour early today to hit a spot that gave up 6 silver about 3-4 weeks ago. The high surf moved some more sand so I was encouraged when the first coin I dug was a silver dime at the base of the cut. 3 hours later I pulled a total of 48 silver coins. 2 half dollars (one a 1942). 19 quarters. 27 dimes. I can see more than one merc in there. Pictured behind each stack are the clad coins. Silver out numbered clad today I think.

Also pulled 2 rings, one silver other TBD but looks silver. The bracelet is also silver with some numbers and a name.

Everything found on the slope to waterline. There's an official designation in Britan, but in the US its whatever you decide it is. And that certainly qualifies in my mind! WTG!

48? I'd call that a horde. More than 20 or so together should be. A normal spill would be less than 10. Not sure what the in between would be.

Horde or cache. Pick your term. Nice going. You're looking in the water? Ones from the beaches here come out black too. Silver coins here come out of the ground almost shiny. Some have darkening. But most just need a good wipe off and they are silvery.

Did you do a modified version of the gold dance? I would ! I just hope your future hunts don't become boring, as you've just reset your benchmark real high.

Wow, Congrats on the silver horde! That beach is empty or at least, it is a lot less populated with silver than it was before you got there! Enjoy the bounty, no matter what you want to call it, great find!:icon_thumright:
