I got to the beach yesterday morning at about 5:15. I planned on staying until 7:30am. I searched the wet sand for quite a while and was just finding junk and very few coins. I knew I was getting close to the time I had to leave and I still hadn't found anything good. I checked the time on my cell phone and it was 7:19. So I said to myself "I've got to find something good." The very next target was a ladies 14k white gold diamond cluster ring. At first I thought it was silver, but when I got to the car I saw the 14k marking. I was quite happy. It was my first gold and diamonds. It's also stamped "LJ" which I believe is a makers mark. I'm not sure who that is. Right after I found that ring I figured I would search that area more. I've noticed that like weight and shaped items sometimes get deposited by the surf in the same area. Well, 2 targets later (about 5 feet away) out pops the men's silver wedding band. I've been to the beach many times, but this was the best day I've had yet. HH

Very nice rings. This is why some of us can't get enough of the sand.

Beautiful finds!
I have to ask, what did you take those great close ups in the circles with? I need to be able to do this.

Thanks everyone!

GYirga, I have access to a microscope at work. I just focus in on the ring looking thru one eye piece. Then using my digital camera I hold the camera lense up to that same microscope lense and use the optical screen on the camera to center the camera and take the picture. Usually they come out better than these did. I kind of rushed these. Hopefully this helps.
