10 years ago, it was good....
Now, some locals are in, and the beaches are not so good : sanded, no cut, flat............
You can try, but do not hope so much..... :dontknow:

Story :
I was on a scooter with my wife, 2 elmet, everything ok....., and suddenly, a police motobike chased us and stopped us..... (I am sure they would ask for money....)
I had a action cam, attached to the basket (I was filming) and they realized that and 2 second later : everything is ok, you can go........ !!!!:notworthy:

I recommend you buy me a ticket to travel with you. You'll need help hunting all those beaches, LOL. Good luck, I'm jealous!

Difficult detecting.......black volcanic sand and the amount of hidden trash is staggering. Also, there are millions of useless Indonesian Rupiah coins everywhere.
There are locals who hunt as well so be careful......they view "competition" differently to us. There are some private beaches with nicer, cleaner, white sand but these are usually for the guests staying there.
I've been there are a few times but the detectors stay home....
