Ah Ha! A little more infro. As I thought, park and field, different pre-set Discrim., I can have wired headphones if I choose, of course that would be needed Underwater, and I already know that I will want the 6" coil. Sounds good, and I DO look forward to some feedback from T-Net members who have pre-ordered, and will be working these things come spring, Thanks 1K for posting the video.

Guess they had to sell as many 3030s with free 17" coil this Xmas before launching a new submersible machine at a third of the price!

The equinox will not compete with the 3030.

Not even close. Two different machines. Their aim is at the $500-900(includes used prices as well) detector market mainly Garrett’s AT machines.

People on the fence between Garrett’s AT Line will take time to consider this machine as a result of Minelabs other machines listing for many thousands more. It’s a known marketing move. A more cost effective product from a company that makes and sells more expensive products.

Will a stock Equinox compete with an Excal?...A three pound, multi freq. with a screen has always been my dream detector.

Totally agree. I think it *will* compete in more important ways than just discrimination. We dig everything anyway right?

I love my CZ-21 but it's like swinging a brick!

Not looking for attacks, I need names of other brick and mortar minelab dealers (like KellyCo, from whom I purchased my CZ-21), rather than tiny affiliate drop ship web sites.
Post wasn't directed at you but the member who was bashing a supporting vendor.

Do you foresee the Equinox series making the rest of Minelab's vlf machines obsolete?

Im with you, I love my CZ but you give me a three pound detector that's as deep and stable as the CZ 21 and my CZ becomes my back up...not to mention I hate changing batteries in my 21.
