    Congratulations on the icy gold!

He has a Whites DFX spectrum e series detector now. TIA
I'm partial to Minelab products (Excal II, CTX 3030, Equinox). And very partial to multi-frequency detectors for the beach. Depends on your price point, but DO NOT BUY A SINGLE FREQUENCY DETECTOR.

Have been swinging the Excal II for 5 yrs in the water and that experience helps with the 3030. The Stealth scoop with a 4' heavy wood handle that I drag along to mark my path on the beach causes more damage to my body than the 3030, I think. Thinking about changing out the wood handle I have on the Stealth with a lighter plastic plumbing pipe.
Congrats to author, great finds! How heavy is the carbon handle! I know itís bomb proof but donít know weight!

Nice gold! I usually dig everything 12.03 and above on the ctx no mater where I'm hunting. I'll sometimes ignore 12.37-12.42 if I'm in a hurry and trying to ignore zinc. pennies and dimes. Anything 12.03 to 12.30 has potential to be gold. Good luck. target trace is a great tool for weeding out junk as well.
