Last night and today at the same location. Keys, Fishing Weights, Crusty Clad, Foreign Coins...just couldn't put the coil on any yellow stuff.

Have to say though finding silver coins is the next best thing. Got a Merc some Rosies and a 64 Quarter.

Found a nice long, half mile three to four foot cut, and had the whole place to myself.

Good Luck All

Very nice, looks like you found an old layer... the OCEAN was hungry for sand and it exposed you some goodies!

A little update on the post. I hit the same spot today for the third time. The cut had more or less sanded in so I just worked the very low tide gravel areas.

Sheesk, hard to believe there's erosion going on in So. CA. Seems like the swells have been calm for months now. You must have a honey-hole exception that occurred.

There's some swells slated to hit CA on the 16th, and then again 18th into 19th. You guys might be in for some more action following those.

Looks like a nice spot, I would have canceled the dinner plans, no matter what she looked like! A good dinner can always wait, but gold doesnt wait!

Nice one Rich!:headbang: Hunting at night? that's crazy!!:laughing7: Congrats on the old silver and the 14k butter! Love the name brand wedding bands, worth way more than melt! Looks like white gold that's been in the water for a loooooong time and has tarnished. A good buffing will get it back close to white gold status..Watch out for those sneaker waves bud, they'll gethcha when your not lookin!:laughing7::occasion14:

Hey Tom

I'm going to be up in San Simeon next week 16th thru 20th. Talking 12 to 15 foot surf on a high tide....Excited about finding some torn up beaches around the pier @ Hearst Castle:happysmiley:
