Went detecting yesterday with my friend Keith. We left at 4 am and started detecting at 6 am. We both had a good day, dug a lot of targets and had a great time doing it. We finally ended the detecting day at 6 pm. I put in a long day and walked 12.7 miles to get my finds. I did find a lot of coins and other charms as well as some junk hoop earrings. The class ring was really deep but gave me a good hit on my CTX. It is a 1980 High School Class ring. I have already started the process to return the ring to the owner and contacted the school. Ill follow it up if I get the ring back to the person who owns it.

The second wedding band was a first for me. It is marked 21k which really surprised me. It has HK stamped inside so I assume that it could be made in Hong Kong unless one of you have a different idea about the ring. If so let me know. It was a beautiful cool day. I had a great day! Thanks for looking.

Great Hunt!! Crazy amount of steps. I track my land hunts but usually I end up about 14 thousand steps. Gotta love the yellow. WTG

Hey Garry, Two very nice rings you've found. I've been looking for a possible maker on the 21k ring...?

Check out Harriet Kelsall a UK jeweler. Her makers mark is HK but the letters are joined together. I can't tell form your picture how the HK looks on your ring.....???

Here is an interesting article about the HK hallmark... it means that it is made by in Great Britain.
They have Hallmarking laws which require it.

This is the registered mark of the goldsmith or company that made the piece of jewellery. Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery's maker's mark is 'HK'.

Here is the article

The letters are joined together. Thanks I guess that is where the ring comes from then.

Its not easy especially at 65 LOL but it sure is fun!! I love it. Did not get in the water this trip. There were a few guys in with wetsuits but the surf was a little rough for me. We always go all day most of the time.

The article was very educational for me , I had no idea about Great Britain’s Hallmark laws requiring the markings by law.
