I would have probably been tackled by bystanders thinking I was having a seizure. GREAT FIND. Your find is why we spend hours of our hard earned vacation at the beach walking up and down the beach.
Todd....That is one beautiful looking ring. Have you been able to check the stones to see if they are real?
I'm not experienced enough to determine by the pics.
I've found some really nice 14k rings and the stones turned out to be otherwise.
I finally bought a diamond tester to check for myself because I'd sit around wondering or have to run down to the mall and have a jeweler look at it.
I researched all the lost and founds and craigslist but to no avail. Most likely a tourist from out of state and from the rings appearance it looks to have been in the water/sand quite a long time. As you see in the side view of the ring the outer support prongs appear to be a bit tarnished. I believe the outer prongs were repaired at some point thus the reason for the gold appearing dark/tarnished. I always try the return route first if possible as I have 9 or more returned finds under my belt.
