For wet and water, good choice. I'd add the carbon fiber handle to lighten it up. For dry (or both wet and dry) I like the 920ix. A tiny bit heavier, but, less likely to damage a target in most cases. I also like the heavy duty lift assist handle. I find it makes the scoop easier to hold and drag.

Ditto on cudamark - Stealth 920iX and I made mistake of not getting carbon fiber handle and after 3 wood and 2 PVC plastic handles will buy carbon fiber handle for next season and this is after just 13 months of serious surf and beach hunting.

Must be "scoop day"...

Depends on seriousness of detecting.

Lots of choices.

But very few for serious detectorists, IMO

For the occasional to moderate hobby detectorist in mostly sugar sandy light conditions...

You choice would be fine.

Thats the exact scoop I have. I got it just before Easter and absolutely LOVE it. I had a small 5" RTG scoop before.

And eventually, a dead back from leaning over so much. At my age, I need to be easy on my back and legs. For hard packed wet sand, you'll have a hard time with that scoop. Rocks, shells, and cobble.....forget it.....not going to happen.

That would work in a kid's sand box or a lava sand beach with no silt or compaction.

Still have to bend over. If your using a serious detector with good depth you will want a long handled scoop.
