Hi all !
Had to share. Mostly I've been a dirt fisher but as my detecting buddy told me , "you live in a tourist town with a ocean beach !" So there i m searching the towel line when this kid about 7 came up to me and said "Yesterday my little brother lot his Hot Wheels car" . I ask where ? He pointed and said "somewhere over there". Right in the middle of the beach ! I told him i'd keep my eyes open. But kept moving the other direction.
An hour or so later i was quickly swinging my way back to the parking lot (hungry!) and was about twenty feet from the little kid and his rather large family when i got a signal that almost blew my headphones off. And there in the scoop was his car! I couldn't believe it ! Huge beach, swinging/walking fast, Hot Wheel size target , 8in coil.
The whole family erupted in applause ! It was the best feeling EVER ! Felt better than the small gold ring i found a few days before. The only bummer was my phone had died and shut off, no pictures.
