Yes. It is a FRESHWATER machine (single-freq VLF). The "saltwater" setting just turns the sensitivity down to about 3 of 10.:skullflag:

Does anybody else have trouble with false signals during dives in salt water with the Tesoro Tiger Shark?

John,

You're probably thinking of the Tesoro Sand Shark a PI salt water unit.

I know you don't want to go in fresh water in Florida.

I'm going to just use my CZ21 and look around for a deal on another PI machine. I'm tired of screwing around with the Tiger Shark. I wish I still had my old trusty Fisher Impulse.
