some news from the next Fisher Aquamanta

for those who have not followed the story
Alexandre who has developed manta technology
MANTA METAL DETECTORS | PULSE INDUCTION HIGH SENSITIVITY
was bought back and hired by the Fisher First Texas group

are on the program
at first the Fisher Aquamanta
a pulse with extraordinary sensitivity to gold
calibrate to 7us // 16 volts
and able to cut iron under certain conditions

he can take an alliance 18k of 1/3 gr under iron nails
and above all he is able to cross the volcanic sand to take the gold

a video that dates a little / but shows the possibility of the machine
which has evolved a lot since


in French

it will be followed by a special Terramanta nugget

then / two others using Bipolar technology
which consists of alternating positive and negative pulses

easy to say on paper / but nobody had ever succeeded before Alexandre ...
the positive pulse magnetizes the ground and lightning the target
the negative pulse demagnetizes the ground = and removes the effect of ground !!!

and much more is planned later

I test the latest Aquamanta Fisher electronic map
and I've never had anything so deep and sensitive about gold

not : the box on the video and the photos
just there / to test the cards
the final product will have a modern / lightweight design and well balance...

OBN - if I understand LE JAG’S “franglais” correctly (sorry about that mon ami) - you will love the Fisher PI (née Manta) (yes I am trying to show off my 10 words of French).

The fruit of Alexandre’s 15000 hours over 10 years is apparently the most powerful (and this is the important part) lowest noise PI beach detector of all time. Hopefully LE JAG will comment and correct me if I am wrong, but the analogue audio should give beautiful “weak” round sounds on deep jewelry. Just what you were talking about - but DEEPER.

Terry - I agree - that’s how we learn - at least, learn what what we all think. At this point with the Manta we have only what the videos, LE JAG’s posts and a post or two from Carl Moreland.

i was a keen early fan of the TDI - I had one of the very first “thru hole” more or less hand built ones - then much later a nice one with Reg Sniff’s mods - now happy in CA with Paul Palomo.

A pity that Whites was turned into an ATM machine instead of pursuing further things like the TDI.

The love the neat story of how Carl spotted Alexandre’s Manta Project onmthe Geotec forum and challenged Alexandre to support his claims - which ultimately led to Tom Walsh opening his vault and doing the ‘aquihire” to get the Manta’s Tech and Alexandre as an engineer.

How it will all end up is anybody’s guess at this point, but I have full faith that LE JAG’s reports are frank and accurate.

Personally, I have some hope that We will see a Fisher PI soon - how soon.....we’ll....

if we were to compare the GPZ to Fisher Aquamanta
the GPZ you hear the ground
this background noise / characteristic of minelab

it is necessary for the nugget on gold ground
but becomes a handicap on the beach = it makes noise

Fisher on, you will have possibilty to hear the ground at all metals
all metals + multiton
can be useful on sand very mineralize and hard to detect

in reject mode + mutiton = you will have the sound of the ground
in reject + cut mode = you will have less noise

but in 90% of cases / all metals will suffice
and there, more ground noise / perfect silence
fine adjust even 7us we get a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

you will understand that in this mode
it's easier to hear the slightest variation

the DF is not really a competitor
it's a low voltage 12 volts to more than 10us
a waterproof 14 volt TDI would have been a better opponent ...

personally, I'm almost always in all metals
I recognize the iron in the ear, which is enough for me

iron rejection becomes useful in special cases
an area full of nails
for the beginner who does not want to dig for nothing
or if you have just an hour in front of you / less time lost

but it will be a major asset / on the volcanic sand

but this ability to detect a ring of less than 5gr in a nail handle
is a novelty never seen on any machine

the Fisher Aquamanta is not perfect
nothing is ever perfect
but in many cases
he will detect gold that others can not hear

My price guess is sub <$1000 assuming fisher wants to sell the thing. If it can truly disc iron and is as deep or deeper than a TDI it would be my go to beach hunter 100% of the time. I don't need more disc than iron vs non iron. I don't see how a non-pi could compete except for the trashiest areas where you are looking for something specific other than gold.

As far as the GPZ, I wouldn't personally take a non waterproof machine to the beach let alone one as expensive as that thing is.

OK, mon ami - let’s take another shot at what you posted - my best guess is I red. Please correct me if I am wrong.

one last thing,
for mode --all metals-- + multiton
it's a setting that I have available on the prototype
he is not sure he will be available on the final product
the number of knobs is limited on the first version
Alexandre and Carl will make the choice following the results of the pre-series

more digital / but it requires many hours of programming
so first the analog version

the particular capabilities of the Manta makes me think of finding places where it will have huge superiority over existing machines because of local conditions - and where there is the reasonable expectation of good targets.

Yes,
the more the sand will be black / mineralize
the more compact it will be
the more the difference with the other detectors will be important

at 16 volts of voltage,
the pulse power at the top of the ridge is very elevate
the more the figure in mind, I'm going to ask Alexandre ...
but it exceeds other machines

but the power alone / is useless / without the silence

I am convinced that other machines can detect
some of the targets we have
but they are drowned in the noise ..........

with Fisher / you'll hear the difference

Im confused, Alexandre spends 15,000 hours over 10 years developing this machine. In a 5 day week thats 5.7hrs per day.This is a lone Frenchman, correct? What EXACTLY have the engineers at FT been doing since the F75 came out all those years ago? DST upgrade was years ago....as was 'boost'.

FT has dozens of detection products in 3 brands. Introducing a totally new machine more often than once every 3 - 5 years is unusual for any detector company - these are all small businesses with limited resources. According to posts by Tim Mallory - VP of Marketing at FT, totally new platforms are under development as are significant performance and value upgrades to existing platforms

As far as Alexandre's 15,000 hours in 10 years, I’m the one who posted that. I just spent about 10 minutes looking for where I got that info and couldn’t find it. I did actually see that number, but it may well have referred to the effort of the whole team, Alexandre,Willy Bayot, and LE JAG.

FT hire/acquired the Manta technology and team a year ago. During that time continuous development and refining of the Aquamanta has taken place, the electronic platform is finished. The Fisher mechanical platform has been designed and is being readied for production - extensive field testing of the pre-production prototypes will take however long it takes. Meanwhile the engineering team is busy with further PI developments.

If you click on the link to the website, the "news" is over 2 years old. Anything actually new going on? When will the detector be in production and/or available to purchase?

but yet Ft only aquired the company 1year ago? Im not brand loyal but am a self confessed Fisher fan boy. Im looking fwd to any significant new release - not the entry level F11, F22,F44 etc.
It just feels like a new flagship for FT is long (and getting longer!) over due.

Patience Butterfly.....

The Manta acquisition/hire was a result of Alexandre Tartar posting on Carl Moreland’s Geotec website, Carl followed up - Tom Walsh, the CEO of First Texas opened his piggy bank and a year ago the Manta started its journey towards becoming the Fisher ********* PI detector (the name is TBD).

Meanwhile in El Paso, the gnomes in First Texas’ Engineering department are busy cooking up totally new platforms as well as further refinements of existing platforms. Wireless headphones, waterprooof packages, multifrequency detectors - all of these are cooking - but you know what happens when you ask the cook when dinner will be ready...lol.

a second will follow for reliability tests and beta testers

no release date or price / sorry

just one last thing
all those who saw the first machines
had never seen a detector so powerful and so sensitive on gold

we obtained a perfect and homogeneous result
I tested 10 detectors
all took the ring from 2.5 gr / 18k to over 15 inch in the air
(should approach 20 inches in compact, wet sand / following mineralization)
= 2.5 gr = 18k !!!!

and the same ring among the iron nail
with a perfect sound on gold and a total cut of the iron (coil 12.5)

the machine is fully operational
now the ball is in the camp of the factory in EL PASO

Amazing detector! It makes invisible targets clearly detectable - while the detector (and coil) remain invisible!

Ive found gold down in 20 in range a lot
I hunt all metal/auto tune - crank sensitivity - slow down
and go for the whispers in the back ground hum
hoping new one goes deeper
