Hi,

I am back ;)

some news from the next Fisher Aquamanta

for those who have not followed the story
Alexandre who has developed manta technology
MANTA METAL DETECTORS | PULSE INDUCTION HIGH SENSITIVITY
was bought back and hired by the Fisher First Texas group

are on the program
at first the Fisher Aquamanta
a pulse with extraordinary sensitivity to gold
calibrate to 7us // 16 volts
and able to cut iron under certain conditions

he can take an alliance 18k of 1/3 gr under iron nails
and above all he is able to cross the volcanic sand to take the gold

a video that dates a little / but shows the possibility of the machine
which has evolved a lot since

in French :-*

it will be followed by a special Terramanta nugget

then / two others using Bipolar technology
which consists of alternating positive and negative pulses

easy to say on paper / but nobody had ever succeeded before Alexandre ...
the positive pulse magnetizes the ground and lightning the target
the negative pulse demagnetizes the ground = and removes the effect of ground !!!

and much more is planned later

I test the latest Aquamanta Fisher electronic map
and I've never had anything so deep and sensitive about gold

not : the box on the video and the photos
just there / to test the cards
the final product will have a modern / lightweight design and well balance...

pre-series launch / if all goes well /
in the next three months

better than all my pulsepowers
and I owned 9 ....

some finds on my last tides

BigScoop - BS (if I may call you that) No way - never happen. No one on the “Manta” team has ever said that it was possible. Alloys of dissimilar metals react very differently than more “unmixed” metals. That’s one reason that some even very good VLF IB discriminator detectors have issues with crimp on bottle caps. Modern ones are plated or alloyed in ways that make them react differently than ordinary steel.

Likewise manufactured gold jewelry is alloyed with various non-precious metals for color or duarability and react far different than a gold coin or 24kt gold.

That’s not what the Manta brings to the party. Depth, low noise, stability and a useful level of iron ID/exclusion are it’s strengths.

Thank You!....for that straight up and honest and accurate reply. It's actually nice to hear this from a manufacturer today. :icon_thumright:

"Low conductor"..."high conductor"....I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how "any machine" can accurately dissect and identify the various alloy compositions containing gold as being, "Beep-beep! This one's definitely got gold in it!" And, "This one definitely don't!" :dontknow:

as Rick says,
the detectors are not precise enough
to tell the difference between the gold alloy

(not yet, but in theory, not impossible in a few years ...)

difference between low conductor // and high conductor
gold is a low conductor
silver, a very high conductor

it's not electrical conductivity
but the visteese at which the electromagnetic wave
goes through the target and return echo

on the Fisher Aq the gold / iron separation reaches a higher level than the other detectors
because the detector sees iron as the ground

a concrete setting:
iron mask / thoroughly
SAT at fastest / signal recovery speed

on this setting the iron nail is cut = more a sound
the gold ring (2 grammes) 14k / 18K / 22K / 23K
is always detect with a clean and clear sound

(Of course there is a limit / if you put 50 nails on the ring is impossible ...)

on this same setting
you lose the 24k / signal too close to the iron

cut you silver
cut you some lead
an aluminum zipper of the same length as the gold ring
give a court sound / brutal drop of the audio curve
the audio curve of gold goes down more slowly (it stretches ..)

a little experience can make the difference to the ear
including in all metals mode

the Fisher Aq was optimized on gold / with its 7us delay
it's his only goal: gold, just gold and nothing but gold

one last important note:
if you lose the 24k in reject mode // (iron mask)

in all metals mode with the 7us
the Fisher Aq will be the most sensitive and the most powerful to detect the 24k

From a user perspective, I get all of that. What I don't get, since depth is this machine's strength, is how any useful measure of reliability can be extracted from weak/deep returns? I recover "a lot" of these deeper targets and, at best, I can only ascertain that something worth investigating is way down there. During the recovery process these returns will continue to change as the coil proceeds to get closer and closer and as those returns continue to get stronger and stronger. From an audible standpoint, these returns can change from very low broken flat returns to very high and very sharp returns as the coil proceeds to get closer and closer. Since all forms of ID are using these same audible returns I just don't see how any accurate type of ID can be made on initial contact at extreme depths? My point being, thus far, there's just no getting around having to dig many of these deeper targets, including the presumed trash, if folks really want to start recovering more deeper gold. So are you suggesting that this new machine is going to change all of that?

yes, I think this new detector
will bring a new type of detection

provided you are motivated and well equipped to dig deep
there is much more gold under the beaches than we can imagine ...

I am on several forums French and English
and in the beach section, guys are often surprised
by my performance on gold jewelry

but I'm not better than another (at equal level of practice)
I'm just using better detectors .........

the first other user feedback should not delay
and you will have a better look at the possibilities of Fisher Aq

Sws - Exercise is good for the body - lol...

There will be plenty of fun had by all when the Manta (AQ?) arrives - just wish it would come sooner than it probably will!

If I get hold of one, Phoenix is short of salt beaches so it’s off to CA for me and my travel trailer. I used to live in Redondo Beach ages ago, will probably revisit old haunts. If you are around, you can play with my machine if you like.

Same here! I'm ready to give one a test drive. If you get tired of having to pay to park at the L.A. beaches, head down here to San Diego and we'll hit some spots! :icon_thumleft:

I had hoped that the Manta/AQ would appear this early summer when I made a trip up the whole southeast coast - didn’t happen.

I have no crystal ball or inside source to tell me when (or in fact if) all the things necessary to introduce an new production machine. They are careful and professional folks over in El Paso. It has to work electronically, delivering on the promise of it’s Manta prototype forebearers. Furthermore, the mechanical package has to be thouroughlly wrung out - watertight integrity, thermal loading in the case, battery performance, connectors, coils - dozens of things.

Then it has to be proven to be producible. A production process has to be qualified - assured that six-sigma type off the production line quality is achieved. And oh yes - Tom Walsh, the boss has to be convinced that they can actually make money selling the darned thing at the price Marketing tells him they have to charge.

Lots of moving pieces...

I predict huge fun will be had by many. If I’m wrong, the complainers may report to my HQ in Gold Canyon, Arizona (where there is no gold) to collect their Mexican lunches - on me. If I’m right, I plan to become the sort of “Johnny Appleseed” of this new device - (google it LE JAG, it’s an American thing).

Sand is so much cleaner than dirt - and beach detecting always fascinates the ladies - whether they are your ladies (always hungry for bling) or “stray” ladies who - in my experience - will happily chat up a grizzled old fossil such as myself to hear what treasures (ladies bling) we have found.

”Vamos al la playa”.....”Let’s go to the beach”!

Memories from a wonderful few weeks in Malaga in 1983

Here’s the key verse

Amigos Gue calor!
Es la maquina bailando.
Vamos todos a la playa.
Vamos todos a gozar.
Baila baila. x3

Friends It's hot!
It's the machine dancing.
We're all going to the beach.
Let's all enjoy.
Dance Dance. x3

If your read this far (doubtful) I must disclose that the version I linked to DOESN’T contain the verse I like so much for this purpose - oh well - come by for lunch sometime anyway.

Id like to see it out during the winter. Perfect time to test it on deep targets here in Fl when you start getting some of the natural South movement of sand. With not a lot of minerals per sa should be a fun machine. Now look at that ...... Eric put his in a sweet container even back then. Some one told me its going to be expensive....... what ever that means.

my last outing, 3 days to the beach
obtained 17 rings / on the same beach
only 3 gold :laughing7:

the two wedding rings about 15 inch
and the big signet ring (16 gr 18k) much deeper

in a sand, a little soft, difficult to come out ...

the three gold rings were obtained by a special depth adjustment
all metals // delay at 7us / sensitivity at full power / SAT at less than 15%
and of course, a very slow scan
to 20 inches and more, it is necessary to leave the time to the information to go up to the coil

In short, a good weekend:occasion14:

Of course, I do not use anything else
meanwhile better (the next prototype :tongue3:)

and apart from a GPZ or GPX with a big coil
I do not think another detector would have
a signal obtained on the big yellow ring .....

Nice haul! Looks like you need a better scoop for that detector than that little spoon.

Thanks
No, she is perfect and especially very solid
316 / 3mm stainless steel hom made..

in the sand as in the photo
if I took it wider / I could not put it back
already limiting and exhausting at 20 inches ....

Actually looks like a tuff scoop. Homemade?

Can’t wait to see this new detector on the market. Looks and sounds to be a game changer at the beach!

yes, homemade
I hunt mainly in very compact sand
and deep, makes finding targets that nobody hears

the traditional gamattes, it's not rigid enough / for me....

here in France we have a lot of big ring
18k (often just initials) that was very fashionable
between 1940 and 1980 / more than 10gr and up to 40 / 50gr
it is this type of ring that I search in priority

yes, I think the new Fisher, will change the deal
allows to hunt big, very deep
and those who want to stay, has depth
of their current mahines / will have a sensitivity gain on lighter jewelry
and therefore more gold for everyone:occasion14:
