14k - Sticking out of the sand.

Hit the beach after work for a two hour hunt before beach closes. Working dry sand because water and shore line were to crowded with bathers. Got a good signal, looked down and caught the glint of gold partially exposed. A small 14k ring. Just what I needed to break a long dry spell. More clad and a dollar coin in the dry sand. Later found a silver plated ring in the wet sand. The NOX is now officially my go to detector.

I had a lot of reservations about buying it. But after using it for a while I have really warmed up to it. Still working on pin pointing better with the coil. Have always used concentric in the past which point dead center. Sometimes I have to chase those deep pennies. After a while you can tell how deep a target is by the tone and pin pointing. Never look at the depth gauge. I heard to was inaccurate. Don't know.
