Steve and I went in the water today for 5 hours.

Steve kicked my butt thoroughly, but that's for him to talk about.

In 5 hours I scooped 2 pennies, 3 nickels and 1 dime, and one piece of ugly costume jewelry.

Then I took a magnifier to the hook and it read "925 1/20 10K"

So, since it doesn't look silver, I did a 18k acid test on a scratching and it passed the silver test. It weighs 5.31g

When I scratched the very bottom of the "heart" on the test stone, and the metal beneath the coating of paint or whatever it was was near white - silver.

That thing was headed to my junk jewelry box if I had not read the stamping. How many wouldn't have even looked for a stamping?
