    That was very interesting....... seems they felt the same about returns that people was glad someone else put in the effort and time to find it for them with little appreciation. Local guy gave back a found $20000 ring recently..... with an approximate reward of .01%. Its not the profit....... but the lack of appreciation i think they felt back then and now.

    I knew that looking for dropped valuables happened/happens at traveling carnivals and the old revivals after closing by the workers, but I had never thought about the beach for some reason.

    Once saw a guy go through major effort to return a class ring... when the owner showed up he had already purchased a replacement long long ago ... but took the original ring, which didn't fit him anymore, and really seemed uninterested like he couldn't care less about it. But hey it was forum bragging rights you know.
