Get some new rubber washers or make your own.

My CZ does that. I wrapped the end of the shaft with black electrical tape, poked a hole so the bolt could go through, and that solved my issue. It works for weeks before I need to replace the tape.

Shouldn't have that kind of issue with a 900.00 detector.

My 600 coil drifts during swings also. I thought it might be my imagination. I can live with it today.

Those rubber washers are shaped uniquely. Could be part of the problem. Certainly makes it harder to pair up another pair.

I had the same problem with my Tesoro. The hardware store had the same size rubber washers so I bought some. It took the machine 5 years to wear them out, you should not have that problem with a 2018 model machine.

Ive ALWAYS had an issue with MLs heads/washers. The washers almost disappear immediately when you tighten the bolt. What i did was bought a cheap set of leather punches.... very cheap and made mine ROUND and out of harder gasket rubber. YOu know thou ....... ive not had one bit of issue with the lower shaft on my Andersons doing that. AND...... like was mentioned, tightening instead of changing them will eventually wear the head, ears, and maybe even separate the coil like it did on my Xcal.
