So I am at the beach and get a solid 10 on my nox 600 and it is deep. You know the feeling when you know something is about to happen? I knew it was jewelry before I looked in the scoop. And there it was small gold ring with a heart on it. I said FINALLY (yeah I know I have only been doing this for a couple of weeks.) So while looking for a mark I see some of the gold plating is wearing off. Damn! Costume! Oh well... There is hope...

Had one about a year ago. Rang up 12-08 on my CTX. Got it out of the sand and I nearly had a heart attack. Looked like one of those 1/2 oz 22k gold bars that get hung on those big gold rope necklaces. Nope, plated fake!

That’s treasure hunting. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.

Better than a pull tab. What that means is you’re about to find real gold soon. That’s the way I look at it...the universe is bringing you closer to it.

Well, just tell yourself you are doing it right if you are finding rings. Might try a more upscale beach.

Know that feeling... I save it for some reason hoping one day I'll have enough to recover a few grams. I find enough of it....

I never get to the beach as I'm landlocked but even dirt fishing, the same thing is common. In 2018 I found one gold ring and one silver ring. (silver total is really low for me this time!) I bet I've got over a pound of junk jewelry for 2018...
