Snorkeling with Nox 800 question.

Folks, apologies if Iā€™m posting this in the wrong place, but I have a question maybe someone with experience can shed some light on. Iā€™m planing to go snorkeling with my Equinox 800 (clear and calm Ocean water). If I have the volume cranked up will I be able to hear signals without headphones OR are waterproof headphones a MUST for any underwater work?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I know they have wired headphones but I donā€™t know if they are waterproof. I am sure by now someone make some. I would use headphones. I know with other metal detectors and waves knock your headphones loose you canā€™t hear

You will need waterproof headphones if you put the screen under water. I recommend the LS-Pelso headphones.

Poorly is the answer to that question. I also think Tonys phones or the Patriots are both good phones for your purpose.

Tony Eisenhower makes a great set of underwater headphones.

I picked these up from eBay if you need this type of headphones. They are fairly loud and work great. Maybe stay on your head better than a full set of cans.

I'm surprised they call them water proof when the charging port does not have any sort of protection to prevent corrosion.
