Thatís true there. Itís like a turd, you can paint it, polish it, but itís still a turd. I really enjoyed their Vaquero, my modded Cibola, but Iím a relic hunter so it didnít bother me not to have a screen. When I coin hunt I use my other machine with target ID. Their downfall with which a lot of companies fall victim to is the fact of having a good product, and sales, and why change something thatís already good. They didnít change the Cibola or Vaquero except change stickers from the old style, then add in the Black lineup on them both. I wish I the Vaquero back, and I might even trade my Fisher 1280-X for one in really nice shape. Cause Iím not just going to give it away.

Well did you ever get your Shark back? I can have sympathy for a company going under but that is just wrong to not send back your machine. My next vacation would be to Prescott.

Iíve had a company do that. It was a privately owned gunsmith business, whom I was really good friends with. He worked with me at the water treatment plant, and in the afternoons when his shop was open, and weekends Iíd go down there just to see how things were going. He passed away suddenly due to a brain aneurysm one day, and his soon to be ex wife didnít even call an ambulance until 2 hours later after seeing him suffering. Needless to say I didnít get my pre 64 Remington 30-06 back, or my 45-70. So Iíve been there, Iíve also owned almost every Tesoro since their early beginnings till the latest, and unfortunately I no longer have any of them. If I ever had a problem Rusty was always quick to get it in and back out to me in no time flat. So sad to see a nice older company go down hill. Their Compadre, Cibola, and Vaquero lineup were amazing. I modded the Cibola right after I got it, and got the Vaquero not long after, and both were killer civil war relic machines. The Cibola was also a great coin hunter too

I sent a Tiger Shark out for repair on 3/16/20. Didn't hear from them for weeks so called the number. Got the voicemail saying mailbox was full. I checked UPS tracking it appears the item was sent back to the UPS office I sent it from. Not Good.

Well Iíd you get it back then itís good for you, Iíd not then Iíd be pissed. We all knew they were out of business for quite a while now, plus when I called around Feb to confirm it I didnít get an answer and also got the vm that was full after I called 4-5 times that week

    Good Point, Civil_War_22!
I had a uMax and it worked fine.
After a while with a detector with VID numbers, you don't even have to look; you just KNOW from the quality and consistency of the signal whether to dig or not.

    (my 2-cents, anyway.)

I received the metal detector I sent out back. Tesoro created the label and returned it. I think its over. Sad I like them. Oh well guess its Garrett or Minelab now. Any suggestions? AT Max or Equinox.

I wonder if anyone would want to trade a Excalibur for my sand shark? The lifetime warranty is the biggest reason I bought it...
