1st Hunt 2019 + 1st Salt Water Hunt +1st time Cruise in Caribbean=Gold & Silver
Had a lot of 1st's but the end result was a lot of fun! It's the 1st time I took my MD gear on a plane, on a cruise ship and out of the country, but it was definitely worth it!!! The 1st stop Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas turned up plenty of goodies, including a 14k mens ring! Just wish we could have stayed at that port for another day or so as there's plenty of Beach and shallow water to hunt.

Next port was Cozumel, didn't get as much time hunting as I would have preferred, but my wife was happy with what I found+ there was free tequila tasting

Some Fish kept following me on my hunts at both ports, they were probably curious if I would dig up any snacks for them?

Even more Fish around me in Cozumel!
Anyone recognize the species?

also found this 11" item in the water in Cozumel? I'm guessing it's a piece of scuba equipment?

after the cruise we spent some time at Cocoa beach, where I ran into a MD enthusiast from Maine, who found plenty of goodies in Turks & Caicos neither of us had much luck on my 1st day there, but things improved by the 3rd day.
even found a shell that had some kind of metal (guessing aluminum) jammed inside, that was a 1st too!

I still need to have my jewelry looked over by my local jeweler who's on vacation.
Pretty confident in the 14k ring though, it has some weight. I need to invest in a diamond & gold tester someday-maybe after I get a "biggie" coil.
Overall, I enjoyed the cruise and had a great time metal detecting new locations.
Tip for anyone headed to either Caribbean locations: I wish I had snorkel gear & fins as my scoop was limited due to all the coral. Some of the finds were wedged in coral and I had to wave away the sand to get to it. I was thankful I brought my "carrot" pin-pointer to track down items in the coral.

Wow, looks like a lot of great finds! My Wife and I were at Great Stirrup Cay a few weeks ago on the Epic as well. It would be a beautiful place to detect. It looks like it was well worth the trouble to take all of your gear with you. Congrats, Dave
