gold can range from 1 to 17 depending on the size of it.

I know that what I'm asking is when a chain finds its way under my coil is it going to read a solid number 1 to 18ish or are the numbers going to jump around?

You're numbers just don't add up. If you got $18,000 for 4 troy ounces of 14K, the price of gold would have been $7700 a troy ounce. There's an error somewhere.

You misread his post. He said he got 18,000 for another chain he also found that was valued at 320,000.

You're right Irishgoldhound. Thanks for clearing that up for me. The error is mine.

And I was one of those "likes"... yet still awaiting response to my post... Ron either missed it... or it / I was ignored... ?

No biggie.
