I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but me thinks that is going to fold in the wet sand.:skullflag:

It will work as dry sand scoop, will never last as wet sand scoop.

Something to remember, you can buy good wet sand scoop for $200 and sell it 5 years later for $175.00 all day long.

Your right, when I first started I was told to buy a good scoop or it would break. I paid $100 thinking it had to be good, after all it cost $100. I broke it in less than a month digging in wet sand, after that I bought good wet sand scoops and over the years have resold them as I upgraded. Never sold them for less than 80% or more of what I paid.

My 7" DIY is going on 2 years now.
Built it from scrap metal and salt does get to it so I paint it yearly.

Yup, it will not hold up to any degree of wet sand use. The first time you hit a rock and it's all over.

I completely get it. I made my own also.

If you have any boat junk yards around, go visit one. I got all the stainless steel pieces and welded them together. It may not look pretty but it works for what I need.

Nothing beats a good scoop, that I agree with. But for me, nothing beats something I made myself.

Learn from this one and you'll make the next one better.
