and was rewarded with some goodies. More importantly, I found another place to hunt! So far, after three hunts:

All this plus several Wheaties and Buffalo nickels.
There's got to be some "old gold" here.

HH and thanks for looking!

Nicely done DJ! Hard to find places like that still around. I have one that I have only grid about 30% of the grounds. Issue is, even though its a public space, there is an old timer living at the corner of the property and he watches it like a hawk. Property does not belong to him but anytime he sees someone on it, the cops get called. Been lucky so far and only have been spoken to once and the cop was friendly enough. Basically said, you can metal detect here but don't dig cause otherwise that old guy will call us back and we don't want that. Yeah...soooo basically have resorted going there when the weather is crappy so that the old timer is not outside staring or during the wee hours of the morning.

Hoping you get to enjoy this spot without interruption! Best of luck and find that GOLD!

No problem with pesky neighbors. Public access but I do have to trudge a bit through the water at low tide to get to the spot. Locals, I have encountered in the water, have been curious but super friendly. Good luck with the remaining 70%!
