UPDATE , sorry to inform everyone of the bad news, however i am a honest man , i ordered a 54lb jewler's magnet off Amazon to test the chain, i got it today on holloween, i tested all my real gold chains 10 , and 14 k including gold ring's and 925 sterling i had from over the year's , even though this chain is marked 750- on both the chain , and clasp it FAILED the magnet test tonight , meaning it's gold plated , this chain was 25.5 inches long , but only weighed 39.2 gram's , so futher testing on this chain was done , this has me fooled a bit, thanks for all the replies , i will get back out thier, the year's not over , happy hunting , Earl

Sorry to hear that Earl, That’s a pretty chain.
I have not found anything any good below a 4 on my 600.
I try to dig everything in the wet, and anything above 8 in the dry that is not around a fire ring.

This one rang up a 8 with the 15in coil on it’s first day out.
Can not wait to get back out tomorrow.

I suspected since 18K should read as a higher conductor with more weight. Happens to all of us........ but aint it a great feeling seeing that in the scoop?
