    Thanks for the link EQ8.....I've got to get in there and clean up the hall Mark's a little better and itll come together for an ID. I've definitely never seen anything like it....its a strange little piece !!

    Wahoo, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, and marlin most of the time....but if it's slow well bottom fish for snappers and groupers. Happy hunting crusty !!

    Getting closer....I couldn't even see these hallmarks yesterday......its slowly cleaning up and then I'll be able to make them all out !!

    Pretty sure I see the "lion passant" mark in there !! Still don't see anything like it in an image search ??

    I agree on the lion.
    925-100 has a ton of marks, but you really have to search through the British (which I believe it to be) marks.
    I would say your "Ro No" would date it in the late 1800's.
    Maybe someone from England could chime in who has more info?
    The website has LOTS, but I don't think all of the available marks.
    Maybe you could inquire and send pics and your numbers to the site and see what they say?
    Might be a new addition to their database.
    You seem to have a life many of us envy! Great for you!

    edit: I see at the bottom of the page they have a forum for help identifying marks.

    Yup...that's a great site EQ8. I was thinking english too just because of the Shakespeare hamlet connection. That and the fact that the bahamas was an english possession for many years. Late 1800s as you and simon pointed out fits perfectly with many of my other finds here. Now the big question What the hell is it and what was it used for? !! Hey...thanks you guys for the help !!
