went to asbury park beach (nj) today. wow - talk about waves + sand! Worked the water for about 1hr. Only got 3 signals during that time - 2 of them kept moving so i gave up on them feeling that they were light junk + also that it was very hard to scoop in this type of action. The third signal i got on my 1st scoop - a pull-tab! Being that the current was substantial i didn’t get in over lower chest deep. There was only one other person on the beach - a fisherman.
After leaving the water i changed + took out my cibola. I worked the dry sand for another 2 hrs. this is where all the stuff in the pic came from.
At least i learned more about working in the water + got some great exercise today.

Man Don, that water has to be cold up there. Those Pixies are really messing with you lately. Looks like you are in for at least another couple of days of rough surf there.

Don't drown yourself trying to break that Pixie curse!

I am going to Tampa Sunday hopefully to carry on my chain of finds down in that area.

Good luck and stay safe.

I feel for you Don. I'm having about as much luck myself. After about 6 or 7 trips into the water, at about 6 hours at a time, I've only found a few bucks in clad. Keep at it.
