i had a bunch of articles in the works when the mag i wrote for ended
i had one on hitting rivers/streams in the works - this was from one of my river hunts -

sun was setting - I fanned and saw this and asked a friend on shore run my camera out to me
silver quarter wedged with a clad

no scooping here - all rocks - found a lot of coins in here 1901 IH was oldest
lots of drop & fanning - mask is a must in a spot like this

Awesome post I plan on doing that this year very helpful info Thanks I went to an old beach in the middle of no where and had my new boots ready to go and as sonn as I started to go into the water I sunk to my waist in black mud and one boot stayed in the mud I wish I had a diaper then all those fish wouldnt have been floating LOL scary lol just a bad experience but Ill try again this year

This is exactly the kind of stuff I look for all the time - those seemingly easy things ya want to do that can turn deadly (particularly at our age). Glad ya made it out. I saw cow carcasses stuck in a dry river bed in New Mexico...that would be a bummer way to go.
