Two day hunt at the beach. There is some sand work going on at one of the beaches I frequent, they have removed some of the sand on top and exposed what looks like rusted sand. I went yesterday and got a solid 15 on the nox, when I was ready to scoop the sand I saw the gold edge of the ring with the small diamonds. No scoop required, it’s marked 10k and the diamonds test real, it comes in at 3.06 grams. The second gold ring came less than 20 feet away, it rang up a 17.it was about 6 inches deep. It tested 14k and weighs 1.67 grams.
Working my way down the towel line I got what I thought was a dime signal and dug the silver ring it weighs 2.57 grams. Did manage to find 1.60 in clad.

Today got an early start on the beach at 5 am, first area I went to there were hardly any signals so I went where I found my slq a few weeks ago. Started getting a lot of pennies, had a solid 20 and dug a tungsten ring. I worked my way over to where one of the dunes was eroding and found the bling ring with the fake stone.

Kept working the area and was finding lots of dimes , pennies and nickels. I just put everything in my bag and finished at 9:30 it was getting hot so I came home. I didn’t know I had found my first shield nickel. I put the coins in my rock polisher less the pennies with stainless shot and let it run for an hour. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I was rinsing them and saw the shield. All I can make out on the date is 188 I can’t make out the last number.
