Got out one more time - pickens were slim - locals getting all the fresh drops
had to change things up and go for the older stuff - found a small
spot that was producing stuff over a foot down and gridded it - was surprised to
get the 2 silver quarters - they were really thickly caked at first but after
breaking the edge off of both the crust came apart and theycame out pretty good for salt water finds
guessing other item is silver relig. medal

I also found a silver religious medallion that is encrusted like the one in your picture... How does one go about cleaning something like that? Someone told me to soak it in white vinegar to remove the crust... would that hurt the silver?

with larger ones i will usually break crust off - i have some that are still "as is" in a box - i used to use
electrolysis on everything but gave that up
this one will probably be left as is - being so small
if crust is half its size - taking it off would not leave much
