Are your junker rings included in your yearly total?

Hey guys,
I have seen detectorist on different forums count the number of rings they find for a particular year and also set themselves a number goal. My question is would you count the junkers or just the ones made of precious metals? I have found 3 rings since March at the beach, one junker and 2 silver. Thank you all for the forum and collective knowledge.

I never count junk rings in my total, if I find 1 gold and 3 junk, I found one ring.

I keep junkers [and semi junkers like stainless which can be pretty expensive but have little resale value] but
i don't consider them anything to brag about so don't count them

No. I sometimes post junkers if they are wearable, then throw them in a little box and ignore them for years...same goes for kid's earrings.

I don't count them except maybe a mention on the day I found them like "I found a gold, a silver and a few junkers." I only really keep track of the gold I rarely count the silvers.

My hunting buddies and I count them as part of our daily take, if nothing else, for just something to kid each other about! They have about as much bragging rights as a common wheat cent.

I count all finger rings , as finger rings....
And will continue to do so. At least until I experience a rash of better valued than junk finger rings!!!

I do find steel and iron type harness or other use rings. Some are junk. Others still useable. Count them as ...Rings. But not finger rings.

I count them as gold, silver and cool rings. The real junk doesn't get a mention.
Releventchair, what about toe rings, ear rings, nose rings, and those ear plug things?

I've seen several on face book who count all of their rings, kind of makes you stop for a second and say... WTH. Which is fine, everyone has there own agenda's.

Count Gold only here, Plat and the other Palladium, rarely do I find but would count them also..

Once OBN started breaking the "100+ gold rings a year" ...I stopped posting "I got 100 rings total" :tongue3:

I dont count toe rings as rings no matter what they are made of - its a separate category to me
has to be a finger ring in my book

I count all rings, but break them down gold, silver and junk. It’s for my own records, to better compare my finds each year. Some junk rings I like and wear
