Floatation "noodle" between arm cuff and control

I've seen a few on utube videos. For water hunting wouldn?'t that be a hindrance rather than helpful by making unit buoyant

I use a strap around the machine. I think the foam keeps the control housing from going too deep or floating if you take your arm out. It beats misplacing it underwater. The water I hunt is so murky if the machine were to get away from you it'd be gone. I hunt deep so it wouldn't work for me but for shallow spots its a good idea.

When I hunt in the water, I use the wired waterproof LS Pelso headphones so I'm always connected to the detector anyway...I don't need to worry about losing it.

Mine is the same, I have the head phone cable only. When I had my water accident in January the detector was floating on the bottom for about 30 minutes, when they pulled me on the rescue boat the detector came up also. I have seen a few hunters with the noodle setup but I really don't think they are regular water hunters and it's there insurance if they do get in the shallow water.

Those noodles come in handy for a lot of things.Like a floating beach sand sifter

I tape a piece of pool noodle around on my nox's, between controller and cuff, just a few inches of noodle with edges tapered off, is just enough to keep the unit's cuff end floating in place, for when fetching small stuff with pointer or whatever, handy and no real hinderance.
