I still have this ring that I found with them (found some other gold too...but this one stands out)
Bill, Mike and myself hit a popular spot = Bill was already suited up and ran out
Mike said he'd wait - I had to put on my dive boots and put scoop and machine together
I told him not to wait for me and to go jump in. When I got to water I could see Bill in front of me
and Mike to my left so I was left to the right
I jumped in and put mask on and walked to the right about 10ft in chest deep water and got a blast and came
up with this beauty...they both could not believe it
being last can be a good thing - I walked about another 5ft and got another gold band and got some other gold
and silver that day
Bill got a nice gold chain with a cross that morning = Mike I think got a junk ring
That was a good Fla. trip for me
Good trip - Good finds - Good times - Good friends
thanks Mike - thanks Bill

Sorry to hear about Mike but glad to hear Bill is on the mends.

Sure sounds like you guys had a great trip out and that's a perfect example of friends having fun and hamming it up.

Those are great memories Casper - and I think that's what life's all about. We have to get out and have experiences in order to have memories.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend and hope that you, Bill and everyone else will stay safe and healthy.

- Brian

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Did Mike post under name Surfrat96 here? I met a hunter in south Florida once years ago, he lived in Hollywood Fl and used name Surfrat. Ended up going out to dinner with him that night, he was single if I remember correctly. He looks familiar in picture.

I know he lived in that area - that is where the Flicker lite is and know Bill (who is up in Ft.Lauderdale area) would meet
Great conch fritters and grouper fingers there -
he was single when I hunted with him - the clean shaven pic
was probably last time - Ive always known him to have a beard after that
I know long ago he posted on The Treasure Depot - I started posting here in 2012
he may have posted here before that
he got injured a few times and couldnt get out with us a few times
I told Bill of one spot I made a killing at ( Bill was on a cruise) - Bill took Mike to that spot I think
Mike found one of his best diamond rings at
I forgot who the guy on far left is - Im in middle and Mike is on right
Bill was working I think - Hollywood area beach - we are hitting in close cause
sun is just rising and there were large creatures feeding in close - we headed farther out after sun got up a little higher

I think he is same one. He told me and hunting partners about a restaurant and we met him there for supper. It was a weekend detecting trip for us.

Sorry again for your loss..

It's always sad to lose good hunting buddies, friends, family. It's the downside to having a long life. We just need to keep them alive in our memories of the good times. Sorry for your loss.
