8)HEY!!!How are my fellow Michigan detectorists doing?Dont know where Mears is-hope ya get a bunch of good ones.I just bought a new water detector from Kellyco,a Cobra Treasure Magnet-$250.00,regularly 750.00-TIME TO GET A NEW ONE!!!iM GOING DETECTING AT A PRIVATE BEACH CLUB IN SEPTEMBER DOWN DETROIT WAY-I am the only one allowed in there-this is the THIRD year in a row Im going-cant get in there until Labor Day,the place has been jam-packed because of the hot weather here in Michigan.I ALWAYS find something good there-old coins, jewelry(been in use since the early 1900's)old bottles-found a old green 7-up bottle 2 years ago layin in the woods, probably been there 30 years.Have found some GREAT newer stuff there,too.2 years ago,I found 4 rings -3 silver,1 gold with diamonds-in the ground in a 12"diameter circle. :oThere are stories of a $3,000.00 diamond ring being lost there the owner told me about-2-beaches,100+acres to search-Im still lookin for THAT one let me tell ya. HAPPY HUNTIN FOLKS,SEE YA!! :D ;) :) ;D 8)

Had a good time. Found about $7 in change and some other good stuff. NO diamonds or gold. Will post pix later when I get a chance and to check over my coins. Believe it or not - even found one IH penny. How's that for beach hunting?
